求助一道语法题~

为什么不选D，不是说分号后面要完整的句子吗？
网上有人说是因为平行结构，即：主语是bats，谓语是play。逗号后aiding是状语。原文有平行，aiding…; pollinating…；and helping….


所以这里是有一个优先原则？还是说其他什么原因就可以让分号后面是句子这个点失效？

注意到第一个冒号在划线外吗？这就是提示。
不考虑冒号平行的问题，后面的结构也要是they pollinate....and help to produce/ producing吧？你怎么解释D中and indirectly前面的逗号？不是跟你否定B的原则相矛盾了？
