26岁Ivy League研在读 希望申请TOP MBA 求定位

小弟今年26岁，希望下半年申请TOP MBA。

US TOP 20本，工作经验不是很多只有本科毕业后在北京2年在500强外企，之后去了一所Ivy League读研，现在研一，希望正好研二申请MBA。（基本不考虑现在这个研究生毕业再工作几年之后再读MBA了，感觉机会成本太高。）

以后的career goal是毕业后参加家族企业，所以不知道只有2年fulltime的工作经验方面会不会让学校觉得是短板。

请问申请H/S/W可能性大吗？

So the FIRST thing that the MBA AdComs will ask is: why now? why do you REALLY need an MBA? With your low work experience, the MBAs might expect you to go and work for another 2 years or so and THEN apply. But if you want to make your application work, you need to give them a great story as to why it has to happen NOW. Maybe you have some good reasons with the family business and you can use that.

I think your profile is ultimately very good, but I don’t have enough information about you your family business or your work experience to be able to tell you if it is good enough for H/S/W.

话说ivy school 里面哪儿有business的硕士？
我唯一记得有的就是普林有个金融硕士，但是如果是那个项目...就真没必要读MBA了

我们背景可能有所相似，不过我是在美国读完研之后工作了两年，稍微反过来一点，今年申请了几所top MBA都被拒了

总结来看可能还是工作经验偏短，尤其缺少management experience，然后可能community service 的经历比较少吧

我唯一知道一个在行业内老大企业工作1.5年一个印度女生去了沃顿，但是别人是MIT engineer background，所以印度女生+工程师+名校+著名企业。感觉经济商科背景的必须得在工作上有所成就，否则比较难以justifyMBA的动机

强烈建议你毕业后工作两年，现在申请真的非常困难

坦白讲现在申请top MBA（我指的M7）挺难的。建议研究生毕业后回家族企业轮岗2-3年（把前台、后台、中台部门全干一遍），然后用4-5年工作经验去申MBA。另外，由于在家族企业，自己的时间可控，所以可以focus个2-3个月专心申请。
