選校求助!!!Cornell vs UT-Austin(with $) vs UW-Foster(with $$)

Hi everyone,

I submitted all my applications in the first round; luckily,I was admitted by 5 schools I applied for. Now I’m struggling to choose one whichis the best for my careear and really need your opinions: (Please help vote for it, andif any analysis about those schools please share with me.

-         Those are schools I was admitted:

1.      Cornell (without $)

2.      UT-Austin McCombs(with $5,000/per yr, instate tuition)

3.      UW-Seattle Foster(with $20,000/per yr, instate tuition)

4.      Emory (with $20,000/peryr)

5.      Indiana Univ. –Bloomington (full tuition covered)

-         Career goal: Corporatefinance and plan to work in the US (Self - evaluation of those programs are as below)

	Cornell	UT-Austin McCombs	UW-Seattle Foster
Strengths	-           Very Good  Reputations in Asian and the US    -           Solid finance program	-           Good Reputation    -           Solid finance program    -           The city is  suitable for settlement	-           Very diverse industries  for goal in corporate finance    -           More International  than UT    -           The city is  suitable for settlement
Weaknesses	-           Very pricy Tuition(around  2.5 times of UT’s)    -           Weather is  harsh and location is not that convenient, especially for job interview	-           Industrial focus  is more about oil and energy    -           Less  international perspectives/ mindset	-           Reputation is  not as good as other 2

Please help!!! and I appreciated any opinions/ suggestions from you very much!!!

You definitely want to go to Cornell. You should not just look at the tuition at the moment. Consider the long term return, the alumni network, the school heritage...

楼主foster申的是accounting吗？已经开始发AD了吗？

Hi I am from Taiwan and work in the corporate finance area.

Basically I will say that to choose places where many companies' head quarters are located will be better for the corporate job seekers. As a result, both Austin & Foster are great, but I prefer Austin as Texas is a booming city and Austin is famous for its corporate fin track. FYI
