题目：People that are well-informed know that Bordeaux is a French region whose most famous export is the wine which bears its name.

正确的句子：Well-informed people know that Bordeaux is a French region whose most famous export is the wine that bears its name.

哪位大神能够指点一下，为什么要把“which”变成“that”。答案说如果是which的话，整个句子就会不完整，但是我觉得换成that没有区别啊。这题百思不得其解，憋得整个人都不好了。。。求大神速速解答，小弟感激万分！

2点理由：
1. 你的句子里提供的第一句话which没有逗号，其实还是essential-modifier.但是根据Manhattan SC 5th第88页:
WHICH有逗号，是non-essential modifier
THAT无逗号，是essential modifier

2. the wine 不是 this wine.若将that后面的修饰词语全部删除，会改变句子的意思。
例子：
引自Manhattan SC 5th:
Essential: The mansion painted red is owned by the Lees.
Non-essential: This mansion, recently painted red, is owned by the Lees.
这两个句子都是正确的
第一个句子去掉painted red,变成the mansion is owned by the Lees.哪一个？给人感觉任意一个，而不是原来句子的意思那个图成红颜色的。
第二个句子是this mansion,就已经说了是这个，不是别的，所以去掉recently painted red没有改变句子意思。
that 是essential noun modifier也遵循painted red的例子。

我理解的是which引导的是非限定性定从，that引导的是限定性定从，如果用which的话，潜在意思就变成了不管哪里的酒都是一样的bears its name，而that是强调了这种wine和其它的wine有区别，也就是只有文中提到的这种wine才能bears its name
