1.Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbonthan are fungi, in the form ofcarbon dioxide, and converting it to energy-rich sugars.
A.    Plantsare more efficient at acquiring carbon than are fungi,
B.     Plantsare more efficient at acquiring carbon than fungi,
C.    Plantsare more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon,
D.    Plants, more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon,       (C)
E.     Plantsacquire carbon more efficiently than fungi,

2.A study by the Ocean Wildlife Campaign urgedstates to undertake a number of remedies to reverse a decline in the sharkpopulation, which includes the establishment of size limits for sharkcatches, closing state waters for shark fishing during pupping season, andrequiring commercial fishers to have federal shark permits.
A.    whichincludes the establishment of size limits for shark catches, closing
B.     whichincludes establishing limits to the size of sharks that can be caught, closing
C.    whichinclude the establishment of size limits for shark catches, the closing of
D.    includingestablishing size limits for shark catches, closing             (D)
E.     includingthe establishing of limits to the size of sharks that are caught, the closingof

160.(OG12-23)
In a previous design, the weight of the discus used in track competition is concentrated in a metal center, but now it is lined with lead around the perimeter, thereby improving stability in flight and resulting in longer throws.
A.        In a previous design, the weight of the discus used in track competition is concentrated in a metal center, but now it is
B.        According to a previous design, the weight of the discus used in track competition was concentrated in a metal center, but now it is
C.        Once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center, the discus used in track competition is now
D.        The discus used in track competition, once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center, but now
E.        The discus used in track competition was once designed having its weight concentrated in a metal center and now
这道题中,OG的解释说A B选项中的it指代了weight 而不是指代weight of the d.

people在这里连带它的修饰语也只有elderly啊,In Japan是地点状语,跟people的修饰 ...

153.
For centuries, people on sea voyages washed their clothes by placing the dirty laundry in a strong cloth bag, then toss it overboard, and let the ship drag the bag for hours.
A.        then toss it overboard, and let
B.        then toss them overboard, and they let
C.        tossing it overboard, and letting
D.        tossing them overboard, and let
E.        tossing it overboard, and let

In Japan elderly people are treated with far greater respect than they are in most Western countries.
