这题考的知识点一个是代词指代，一个是平行。
A中not, rather不平行，所以错；
B中同样不平行；
E中逻辑存在问题，ing逻辑主语应该是earth‘s crust, 在E中主语是earth，所以错。
CD相比明显D更平行。

貌似没听说代词指代代词一定要在先行词之后吧，代词的考点是单复数一致，先行词存在，指代清晰，逻辑意思正确。
