TWE002 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Do the parents are the best teachers or not? Depending on personal life experience, personality and emotional concern, we may find some people hold the point of view that parent are the important teachers but not the best in our life. Others, on the contrary, believe that parents are the best teachers. As far as I am concerned, of the two opinions, I would rather advocate the latter than the former. My argument presented as follow.

First and foremost, parents would be the eagerest and the most patient teacher in the world. Parents always wish their children have a very successful and thriving future. Therefore, again and again, they are willing to teach their children every thing which their children want to learn and never thinking of rewards.

Second, from the little babies to adults, parents teach their children from every aspect. For instance, I learned cooking, making up and planting flowers from my mother and I gained the knowledge of fishing, swimming and fixing bikes from my father. Not only those of little surface things, but my parents also teach me a lot of inside essences, such as, how to be a person of honor, to be independent and to face trouble bravely.

In addition, parents know their children the best, including the merits and demerits. For this reason, they could tutor their children in proper methods and help them get rid of their bad habits. Those should not be done by the other teachers.

It has to be admitted that parents did not do very well in all extent, especially in some specialized fields. But if all these factors are contemplated, the advantages of parents being the teachers carry more weight than the disadvantages. To sum up, as discussed above, I would likely say parents are the best teachers in the world, whether they are professional or not.
