A concern about LBS's essay

Hi,LBSers,

In this year's application essay, I found that there are three essays and essay 2 ask candidates to answer" What value will you add to London Business School (300 words)?". Then in the third essay, it asks applicants to answer" What is the School’s responsibility toyou and what is your responsibility to the School (400 words)?."

My question here is that what the meaning of the third essay is. Does it mean " why LBS (what is the school's responsiblity)  and what you can contribute to LBS (what is your responsiblity to the shool) "?  If so, how to answer the essay 3 "what is your responsiblity to the shool" and the essay 2 "What value will you add to London Business School (300 words) " in different ways? Is there any repetition?

I have not looked at this year's essay questions, but just  my 2 cent for your consideration.

What value will you add to London Business School?
LBS is a very diversified community and we are proud of it. So the value you can add can be your industry experience, your special life experience, your network in certain area, your passion about things (sports, professional interests, every year there are 200+ students in student leadership positions that organized events for LBS and professional communities) and many more.

What is the School's responsibility to you and your responsibility to the school?
LBS is a fantastic brand name which opens many doors for its students, it is a brand name that you carry around in your life. Personally, I would think the school is responsible for continuous developing and innovating the brand and the culture with the time so that I can still benefit from the school's network and name in many years to come. Of course, everyone has a different view, your view can be the school should be responsible of proper marketing in certain geographical market so that LBS name can be linked to high-calibre candidates.

I think your responsibility of the school is more a long-term question. Your responsibility not only includes your efforts to represent the school as a student, but also your interests in the school development after your graduation. That you will take an active role in school's future development, career services support etc.

Again, only my 2 cents.
