TWE054,请大家狠狠的批评吧,作文总是写不好

54 do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A person should never judge a person by external appearances. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answers

When it comes to the statement that a person should never judge a person by external appearances, some people argue to support it while others oppose to do so. Different evidences would be given from the two perspectives, all of which may sound reasonable. However, as far as I am concerned, I think to judge a person only by appearances is too hasty and sometimes even risky.

The major reason for my penchant for my decision is that no logical relationship exists between a person’s appearance and his characters. Whatever clothes a person wears, his merits or shortcomings don’t change. For example, a person who dresses well may lack of sympathy. On the contrary, a person in rags may have a gold heart to help others. Therefore, you can’t set up a bridge to connect what a person dresses to what a person he really is.

No logical relationship is only one part of important aspects. Another equally significant reason can be seen by every one is that judging a person only by appearances is sometimes very risky. People could even be cheated if they trust too much of the judgment they make only by looking at someone’s appearances. A survey conducted by a famous magazine released the fact that many victims suffered cheats mainly because they always tended to judge a person only by his or her appearances.

The last but not the least, it is unfair to judge a person only by appearances because not everyone is wealthy enough to afford top grade clothes or precious jewelries. The poor also want to wear fine clothes or dress neatly, but sometimes they have to save money for other purposes. Hence, we should not treat people differently just because of their appearances.

As an old proverb goes “every coin has two sides”, I admit that a good appearance is very important in our daily life and will leave good impression to others. Nevertheless, not judging a person by appearances carries more benefits than doing so. The most striking conclusion is obvious.

To sum up, given the reasons above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can safely arrive at the conclusion that a person should never judge a person by external appearances because no logical relationship exists between a person’s appearance and his characters, because judging a person only by appearances is sometimes very risky and because it is unfair to judge a person only by appearances.

Whatever clothes  a person wears, His/her merits or shortcomings don’t change according to what he/she wears. For example, a person who dresses well may lack of sympathy. On the contrary, a person in rags may have a gold (warm) heart to help others. Therefore, you can’t set up a bridge to connect what a person dresses to what a person he really is.

Different evidences would be given from the two perspectives, all of which may sound reasonable. The major reason for my penchant for my decision is that no logical relationship exists between a person’s appearance and his characters. Whatever clothes a person wears, his merits or shortcomings don’t (do not) change. For example, a person who dresses well may (be) lack of sympathy. On the contrary, a person in rags may have a gold heart to help others. Therefore, you can’t (cannot) set up a bridge to connect (between)what a person dresses to(and) what a person he really is.

No logical relationship is only one part of important aspects. Another equally significant reason can be seen by every one is that judging a person only by appearances is sometimes very risky. To sum up, given the reasons above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can safely arrive at the conclusion that a person should never judge a person by external appearances because no logical (certain)relationship exists between a person’s appearance and his characters, . because judging a person only by appearances is sometimes very risky and because it is unfair to judge a person only by appearances.( It is true that appearances could not show a person’s merits or shortcomings. Sometimes, it is dangerous to believe in a person with glorious appearance. At the same time, you are likely to misunderstand a person just due to his poor appearance. So I think it unreasonable to judge a person by appearances.)

It seems faily good, but I'd like to put my comments for discussing.

1. the trail of template is evident. the rumour that ets destests this kind of writing may concern the writer when he/she needs a pretty good score in wte. maybe i am too sensitive since i read some books about toefl writing.

2. opening needs to be improved. whom we are facing in the test, the graders of wte, are those from colleges with professional training in english writing and solid, perhaps worse, the rigid typical psychology in english writing. i don't know the reason why most chinese writing classes offered their attendants the similar template, which is not my point here, but i am sure this kind of opening differs from standard opening of english way. you may have much more lively and interesting opening if you could go to library referring any kind of writing books by english people. please try.

3. the easy way to write this article is, take the con and refute the statement from at least two facts, one is appearance always fails to reflect the feign intrinsic traits of a person for most people don't be trained to professionally make up himself. Nor the judge before him. thus doing so brings about false result. second, artificial app. always distract you from the point, the true hidden purpose - app sometimes might be treacherous. of course, there is common sense by which people can judge a person, such the definitions as slattern, an untidy lady; playboy, an indulgent man, est -- this is the part compromising thus making your argument more cogent and persuasive.

4. take it easy. my opinion given is intent to give some help. I hate to say your writing not good or my writing is bad.

good luck in toefl.
