In the lecture ,the professor mentioned that the trade of the fossil have more positive sides than its negative ones by providing three explainations,which contradict to opinions provided by the author of the passage.

Firstly,the professor say that the trade of the fossile will make the fossile more valuable to buy, as a result, some low public institution like universities and public library can get the opportunities to buy them, thus people can have more explosure to the fossil.while the reading passage argue that the trade of the fossil can make the public feel hard to see fossil and lead to a decline in public interest in fossil.

secondly,the professor mentioned that scientists will not lose some important discoveries come from fossil because it is the scientists who put the value to the fossil through their test,examination on it.Thus the fossil will first pass through the scientists's hand before they pass to the collectors' hand.This directly contradict what the passage indicates.

Finally,the reading passage argue that the collector will destory the valuable fossils when they unearth them because their lack of skill and carelessness.However, the professor say that there are many discoveries of fossils because of the collectors, and some universities and scientific institutions never conduct unearth operation of fossil. Though the collectors' action will destory some fossils, it is better to find more fossils though some of them are destoyed than let me bureied in earth.
