Gifts for rec letter writers?

All three of my rec letter writers have spent many hours writing for me. Whether or not I get into my dream school, I'll always feel grateful for their support. I've been contemplating for an suitable gift to express my appreciation in addition to my hand-written thank-you note. Has anyone felt the same way as I do? What're your thoughts on the choice of gifts? (I've been looking at pens from Cross, as suggested by a friend, but I'd collect some more ideas.) Thanks.

that's a great idea, bud. but since i'm in the states, shipping goods from china is too cumbersome. i thought about shopping in chinatown, but i don't want to get ripped off or can't have the gifts wrapped properly.

chinese get ripped off in chinatown? that is unbelievable! i won't worry too much about the wrap,buy them in chinatown then go to a nice mall, i am sure there are gift wrapping places around
