Plants can provide food, shelter, clothing, or medicine. What is one kind of plant that is important to you or the people in your country? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.
China is a big country that full of all kinds of plants that contribute to Chinese people from past to present and in the future. Among these plants, I think the pine is most important to Chinese people. There are numerous reasons to support my opinion; I would explore a few of most important ones here as follows.
The main reason for my propensity for the pine is that it can keep green from the spring to the winter. Everyone knows that in winter, most kinds of plants lose their beautiful colors and become bald, that makes the whole world look ugly. However, the pine can keep green all year long, not only in the spring, but also in the other three seasons. Imagine that all the streets still are green and filled with green color in winter, full with active life color on the background color of snow white, what a wonderful view it is!
Another reason than can be seen by every one is that we can get a high quality wood from pine. We all know that the pinewood is very hard, and it has some chemical materials that expel the insects. Because the pinewood has such good characters, it can be used to make furniture, doors or something else, those can last a long long time without decomposing and being damaged by insects. Frankly, I have a chair made of pinewood in my room, it has been twenty years old now, but it looks still like a new one.
In addition, we also can get some food from the pine. Everyone knows the pinecone is very delicious, nowadays, there are a few companies that make a lot of kinds food from the pinecone, and they sell their products all of the world. We discussed above that the pine wood has some chemical materials that can expel the insects, so there are other companies are doing some search to get these materials, then we can use these green materials to protect ourselves from a lot of kinds of insects.
Admittedly, there are still many other plants that are very useful and helpful to the daily life of Chinese people’s life, such as apple tree, banana. However, I still think that the pine is most important one, from the reasons discussed above, it is not hard to reach my conclusion: that is the pine is the most important plant to Chinese people. |
