1.People attend
college or university for many different resons (for example, new
experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think
people attend college or university? use specific reasons and examples
to support your answer.
After graduating from high school, some people begin
to work, while others choose to attend college or university. I definitely
support the second one, since attending college will bring you more knowledge,
better salary, and proper position.
As we all know, college offers much better
teachers and environment for you to acquire knowledge than high school. By joining
different department of college, specialized knowledge you may get. I major in
computer science, after about 3 years’ studying, I have learned enough specialized
knowledge for me to work in any IT company, not to say working in other kind of
companies which need some simple computer operating skills. All the departments’
specialized courses let their students can be distinguished from others.
In addition, by attending a college, more
probability you will have to get better salary. Nowadays, most companies need
their employers have proficient skills to finish their jobs. How will a company
judge whether an applicant own these skills? Ensure the applicant own the
credential of relative departments of college is an important and efficient
method. For instance, if two applicants apply the same position in an IT
company, one of them has the abilities to work well but have no degree, another
one has both abilities and credential of a famous university, of course, the
company will accept the second one.
Last but not least, by joining a college,
you will have more opportunities to get proper position. those who find job
just after graduating from high school always get positions which they don't
like, but the well-educates are not. The well-educates first can enter their
favorite department, then after graduating, they can choose the most proper
position they think from all the position have been offered to them. Such as,
one of my predecessors have gotten offers of engineering position in MS, IBM
and Intel, and he has chosen to IBM. In contrast, most of my job-entering high
school classmates are working for factories which they don't like at all.
It's not to say attending college is
always better than entering work, but offering more opportunities to get more
knowledge, earn better salary, and find a more proper position.
