In the morden society, it is quite common for someone, aiming at the same goal, to form a team doing a certain part of the work individually and achieving the final success as a whole group. It is through co-operation that almost all the high-tech projects have be accomplished. Thus, everyone's performance as a co-worker contributes a lot to the efficiency of the the whole team.It is believed that, to be an excellent co-worker one should try best with his/her own job and also be helpful and reliable towards others.
To begin with, as a co-worker, to play a positive part in the team is one of the most crucial virtue. Each member's highly efficient performance is the most strong support to the success of the team. For instance, in some cases, someone view its own job in a negative attitude, concerning about taking a free ride. However, one's elusion from its tast does not reduce the whole project, but relatively increases other members' assignments. Others have to make up their extra energy to cover the free rider's task, getting exhausted and unefficient. What may be even worse, such languid style might gradually influence other members, and slow down their work, leaving amount of emergent labor later. Consequently, the team will surely becomes pooly orginized, and gets haunted by the threat of failure.
In addition, a good co-worker should always be willing to assist others on the assignments. Nowaday, it's widely worried that the more excellent one's co-workers are, the less attention from the boss one will get. Since less attention leads to much disadvantages including fewer chances for promotion, less salary, or even more likely to be laid off, a large number of employees, making great effort to avoid their technique being stolen, treat their co-workers as strange competitors, let alone to help each other, especially on work. Therefore, without communicating to one another, everyone works in solitude, which tremendously slows the steps of their team. In fact, exchangeing ideas may not only shorten the process of the project's research period, but alse help each member to learn from others thinking patten and improve the overall member quality of the group.
Finally, to respect others privacy and keep colleagues' personal affires secrets is also critical in getting others trust. Only when all the members trust one another and work in harmony, can a group achieve its highest efficiency. Otherwise, all kinds of conflicts such as quarrels may prevent the team from going any further. In the teamwork, it is quite common that one's work may be based on anther's. With the doubt about the foundation of its labor, how can an empliyee exerts all its best?
In conclusion, a co-work's final requirement should be to maintain a sense of co-operation. And to try its best in work, to assist others, and to respect others' privacy are basic elements of a good co-work.
