To hire an inexperienced worker at a lower salary or to hire an experienced worker is a difficult question for every employer. If I were asked about this question, I think will choose the experienced worker for the specific reasons as I provided.
"Time is money" is very common in nowadays global economic society. And an experienced worker means that the worker had already done some jobs relevant to your business before he came to your company, which ensures that he will do the same amount of work with less time. That indicates he is more efficient than an inexperienced worker. And it comes to the unanimous result that “Saving time is saving money.”
Another reason, as important as efficiency, is that an experienced worker is more reliable. Life taught experience is more concrete and applicable, especially when dealing with some emergencies. When an experienced worker encounter a problem that he never meet before, he will handle it with confident and skill based on his experiences, instead of being frighten like what green-hands always do. Then you will feel totally released because you have such a professional employee.
Although some may argue that to hire an inexperienced worker will save much more money for the company, but it is not that true. As a mater of fact, an inexperienced worker needs training, and he will probably make mistakes. Who will pay this bill? The answer is obvious that the company. But an experienced worker, though the salary is a little bit higher, he deserves it, for the reason that he will make more money for the company.
Considering all the facts, I may safely draw the conclusion that I prefer to hire an experienced worker for he will work more efficiently, and independently, which will bring good results for my company.
