My two cents: If you don't know if you're going to be interested in law and law practice, try to collect information about the preofession, from people in the profession, books and internet, find out how it really looks like being a lawyer. If you want to practice law in China, talk to a lawyer if you can, and see if you like what he/she is doing You don't have to have a Chinese licence to practice law in China. you can practice in many areas without one. i know at least one option as far: foreign law firms in China are not allowed to hire China licensed lawyers. big foreign law firms may be where you want to be if work in China. Without education in Chinese law is not a major problem. you can pick up in practice. i personally think that graduate study in China is a waste of time if your final goal is to study law in America. Working for a while seems to be a better choice than studying for a grad degree. What is good prep for studying law in America? improve English, participate extracurriculum activities and diversity yoour experience. |
