Yale 3rd round interview

Hi, I received an email from Yale adcom for an on-site interview.  I applied 3rd round.  I submitted my application package one week ago.  I'm surprised the interview invitation came this fast.  Does anyone know the admission process of Yale?  Do they extend on-site interview invitation to those who they really like?  Or do they invite people randomly before they even review the application materials?  

I'm currently in US, but I'd like to know if it worth a trip to New Haven.  My second option is to ask for an off-site interview with alumni.

I got the same invitation today. it is obvious that the school is interested in us.

I think it is better to attend a on-site interview if you have confidence to impress your interviewer.

I am no sure the percentage. but if you go for the interview and succee, you will get a better chance.

I applied round 3 for all school. since we are in NA there won't be too much disadvantage to apply for round 3.

GMAT 710, 5 yr WE in a big IT services corp in US.  What about you?

I wonder if there are  other CDer got the same invitation.

we may have a better picuture about the cut-off at Yale.

My suggestion is that if you are not too far from New Haven, then go ahead for an on-site interview.
