有关both做代词以及平行的问题（毕出那本书的题）

我的问题：
1中：both到底指什么？难道不应该是指代主句中的成分么？怎么理解？

2中：我选的c 我觉得e省略的过多了。原因：比较的时候前后的对象应该完全平行
毕出的书中做了这样的例子：wrong：I eat more apples than you right: I eat more apples than you do/eat. 第一句标wrong的其实you后不补出动词并不会形成歧义，但是语法上可以认为不对等，不能认定you做主语或者宾语。但是第二题答案却说省略不会造成歧义所以选e，求各位大侠给评评理～～

第一题：
both什么也不指代，它在这里是一个副词词性。both这个词汇的词性有很多，形容词，连词，代词，副词都可以做，所以在它的使用上基本没什么限制。在这道题目中，both作为副词修饰melt和cause。

第二题：
这个涉及到了一个历史遗留问题。比较本身就具有一定的模糊性。
在GMAT考试中，通常来讲，如果出题者认为比较的两者已经足够清楚了，那么就尽可能的省略。如果可能产生歧义，就可以保留一部分。在真题中，确实有出现类似于I eat more apples than you的正确选项，所以，我们只能根据语义去判断比较是否已经足够清楚来决定选哪个选项。
在这道题目中，由于apartment是一个住所，而patrial是人，两者的性质完全不同，并且“人买人”是一个很奇怪的情况，我认为这比“我吃你”更加奇怪，所以，这里选择省略掉了that of

第二个确实是见了太多版本了，做题的时候看情况吧。
1.毕神我在你那个书的帖子里回复过，建议开个新版块来讨论你写的那些内容，cd应该支持的吧。

2.你的书基本快读完了，它给我的感觉：在解题时，我还是应该先运用平时的语法知识，之后再运用你书中的内容比较好。语法秒排一些选项，再用书中的知识搞定高级点的选项。不知道你怎么看我这种想法？

1 both and 要联结两个相同的成分，只有D中前后都是分词；A是underside 和causing/B是underside和reason，但意义不对/C the thawing是动名词，causing是分词/E 动名词和名词

2 这里只是人和人的比较， more foreigners than patrials bought the aparments

我认为都可以，比较的是不同的东西
