Just got an admission offer from Ivey through email this morning. This is the only school I've applied as my GMAT is not high at all. I've been waiting for their interview over the past weeks and it's really a surprise to get their offer directly. For those who're still waiting for interviews, my case might ease your mind as offers do come without interview.
Still, I need help to clarify some questions before my final decision:
1. I know the fresh phd graduates in the States normally end up at a tenure-track assistant professor position with annual pay around 80k-100k. How much can a biz phd expect to earn for his or her first academic job in Canada?
2. Can anyone comment on Ivey's reputation in academic research and their phd placement? I know their MBA ranking is pretty convincing among Canadian schools but their faculty reserach seems to be more practice-oriented. This is my greatest concern as there is not much information about their placement.
Anyway, it's gooooood to have an offer. I'm planning to write a summary of my application experiences. Wish you good luck and let the offer rain come!
