关于Helr老师新书学习过程中的疑问（更新）

选自OG 10，其中的256，原题如下：

256. The nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius in two letters to the historian Tacitus.

(A) The nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius in two letters to the historian Tacitus.

(B) To the historian Tacitus, the nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote two letters, being the only eyewitness accounts of the great eruption of Vesuvius.

(C) The only eyewitness account is in two letters by the nephew of Pliny the Elder writing to the historian Tacitus an account of the great eruption of Vesuvius.

正确答案选择E，没有问题，但是原始句子我现在完全分析不明白了，尤其H老师讲了法则，我彻底蒙圈了！！！

H老师说到：

(A) The nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius in two letters to the historian Tacitus.
(E) In two letters to the historian Tacitus, the nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius.

在逻辑上，
(A)选项被认为是致使移动结构，最终拥有“在给历史学家T的两封信中”这个状态是火山大爆发的目击证据，其含义是：火山大爆发的目击证据发生在给历史学家T的两封信中

(E)选项中的In two letters to the historian Tacitus，是地点状语，最终拥有“给历史学家T的两封信中”这个状态是Pliny写目击证据的这个行为。

下面问题来了：

1，请高手再帮我拆解一下A选项，提主干，eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius 这个是怎么个回事？整个句子的谓语动词时wrote， account of 是什么情况，什么词性做什么？

2、A选项怎么就体现出了最终拥有“在给历史学家T的两封信中”这个状态是火山大爆发的目击证据，其含义是：火山大爆发的目击证据发生在给历史学家T的两封信中？完全没有明白

E选项很清晰明确，但是A选项经过公式的分析，我完全不懂怎么个意思。

请高手帮我解答，或者H老师哈~

1. 这里的account是名词，是证据的意思。the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius这整个部分的核心词就是这个account。这个句子的主干是：The nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote account。
2. A选项这里容易被看成是致使移动结构，即，A do B in C 。在这个题目中，即，P wrote account in two letters。这样写句子的话，我可能会误认为，是”P使得account进入到两封信中”的。而实际上，不是证据被“扔”进两封信中，而是证据被以文字形式写在两封信中。所以，in two letters必须是整个句子的状语。

Helr老师，您好！首先感谢您的回复，明白了，多谢！

因为是刚接触您的这套新方法，从原有的思路转变到这个新方法上来还需要一定的过程，有的时候大脑有些转不过来，就有很多的小问题。目前我已经看到了第三章，有几个问题还需要很您沟通，费心了。

1、Gall's hypothesis of there being different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today.
(A)that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain was widely accepted today
(B)that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(C)of there being different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(D)that there are different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(E)that there are different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain was widely accepted today
这道题目是核心词下面的题目，在解读中，A、B两个选项中that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain的核心词是localize，在CDE选项中of there being different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain或that there are different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain中，核心词均为名词different mental functions。

我的疑问是，AB组和CDE两大组中，不同的是that的位置，根据书中讲到there be句型或者是原因状语中的核心词是后面的名词，而原因状语从句中的核心词是动词（P83例1、2、3，可否这样理解，通用的公式？）如果刚才说的这个公式没有问题，CDE我理解，名词different mental functions为核心词，但是AB现象我很难理解如何核心词是localize，我想问一下老师的思路，怎么确定了localize为核心词？

2、在一个SC短句中，会有多个动词，并且每个动词都有自己的论元。这些动词分布在划线句子和非划线句子中，如何去判断其中的一个动词是咱们要找的关键词？
3、在第三章中我们又学习了核心词，除去一些修饰剩下的词都是核心词，其中也包含了动词。那么核心词和之前咱们学到的动词论元（就是咱们找出的关键动词）有什么关系？如果是动词论元和核心词是一个，是否可以将二者等同？
4、我目前的问题是拿过来一道SC，不知道该如何去运用您的方法，不知道该从那里下手，是否是先找出动词论元，看其主语论元或者是宾语论元，看他们之间的逻辑关系是否正确？

求解，多谢！
