Although producer prices rose at an unexpectedly steep rate in September, analysts said that the increase resulted mostly from temporary factors and did not necessarily foreshadow a resurgence of inflation.

其中后半句的analysts said that the increase resulted mostly from xxxx and did not xxxx
resulted from 是修饰the increase的，如果后面接了and did not（与said并列），那the increase 不就不完整了吗？said 后直接了一个the increase 就直接 and did xxx了，感觉这个the increase resulted 短语放在这里很别扭啊。我觉得the increase 后面应该要加一个 was 才对啊。

result from表主动，无需用被动，不用加be动词
