答案是E，但我觉得D更好啊，而且去掉了no longer我觉得本身并没有错？然后E和D相比太绕了？

还有哦，请问各位CDer, 你们有遇到过xxx indicates that...这种类型的题目，最后的正确答案是xxx indicates...，也就是没有That嘛？还是说这种类型的单词看到没有that的选项可以直接杀？

In few United States cities today, a river is the focal point of urban life,

you are not saying “rivers in the few United States cities”

this choice → in those US cities， river（in china or in other cities，including US） is the focal point of urban life

but the sentence wants to compare rivers in many US cities with “rivers in San Antonio”

不好意思看了好几遍依然没有理解你的意思。。。
D不也是在比较美国的河和SAN的河吗？

我想他是在说
D的选项因为是in FEW US cities today, a river is..
意思也就是说很少的US cities 的river 怎么怎么样
是有否定意思在里面
也就是说除了这些很少的US cities 外的城市，包括中国、英国、美国其他地方的river, 都是怎么怎么样
这和本题要表达的意思的出入就很大了
因为E 选项是说 many cities in the US 不再有一条河怎么怎么样，去和 San Antonio 的河对比
而不是除了FEW US cities 以外的河跟San Antonio 的河对比

另外 D还有很重要的一个地方改变的原有意思
所有其他的选项，都强调了river的一个变化
不管是用Unlike 还是 no longer
但是D选项直接描述了在 FEW US cities 的情况怎么怎么样
直接隐去了这一个重要信息

this sentence has completely gotten rid of any reference to the concept of 'no longer'. while all the other sentences say that things have changed, this sentence presents the situation as if it's always been that way.

还有请问你哦对于“ xxx indicates that...”这种类型的题目，最后的正确答案是xxx indicates...，也就是没有That嘛？还是说这种类型的单词看到没有that的选项可以直接杀？
