求助！2015版og sc85题求大神解答

答案说句子第二部分必须与第一部分平行
这个解释是说结构上，在比较句中，逗号后面的第二部分就必须与第一部分平行
还是根据语义上来讲，应该与第一部分整句话平行？
因为我做题的时候理解的是与a goal of a majority of young adults比较，所以选的A，请问这样分析为什么不可以。

还麻烦各位牛牛指点了

首先说一下我不是大牛。
然后OG解释已经说了it refers back to this phrase and is the subject of the second clause. The first verb "is" also parallels the second verb "was". The prepositional phrase of "a majority of young adults" and "of earlier generations" are parallel.
从平行的角度，比较主语，E带主语，带谓语，带介词，比A更平行。
从语意的角度，that指代是错误的，OG也说明了。
从语法的角度，like 放在句尾比较对象是有歧义的，如果比较主语，应该放在句首。

好吧 ...其实还是有点迷糊。可能有点钻牛角尖，我想问的是为什么不能和宾语a goal of a majority of young adults平行....为什么非要和主句整体平行...
语义上就是房子现在仍然是大多数年轻人的目标，和老一辈们的目标一样。

了，这么说吧：

A.like that of earlier generations - 你能说一下你认为like that的that指代的是什么吗？如果说比较的是something is a goal of young adulst, like something was a goal of earlier generations那是错误的哦，因为like做比较只能比较名词，不能比较句子，不能带动词比较。我觉得这么造句才是对的：
Like earlier generations, young adults still possess a goal of owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land.或者
Like the goal of earlier generations, the goal of young adulst is owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land.

E.as it was of earlier generations --> as作为平行标志，可以比较两个句子或者两个情况something is a goal of yound adults, as the same thing was (省略a goal) of earlier generations
