个人理解为way为抽象名词？

OG sc 28, In virtually all types of tissue in every animal species, dioxin induces the production of enzymes that are the organism's attempt to metabolize, or render harmless, the chemical irritant 此处，that从句修饰enzymes.

OG sc 7 The intricate structure of the compound insect eye,[size=13.333333015441895px] having hundreds of miniature eyes called ommatidia, help explain why scientists have assumed that it evolved independently of the vertebrate eye.

此处略有不同，为非限定性修饰，但都是修饰语修饰n+of+n结构。OG 解释a选项，having短语有修饰structure的嫌疑。但是with结构就可以修饰of后面的n而且没有歧义。

我的问题是，n+of+n结构后面+修饰语，如何判断修饰语修饰of之前的n，还是of之后的n，还是修饰n+of+n？

N + that/which/v-ing/with 中间没有逗号的时候
【原则上一般来说】都是就近修饰 N 的

但是！
A of B that/which
A +介词+B that/which 的情况
很多时候that/which也会跳跃去修饰核心词A

需要我们用主谓一致、时态和语意来共同判断到底是修饰哪一个
没有一刀切的原则
如果这个that/which 产生了修饰的歧义
那说明这个用法是错的
