Educationis a perpetual topic in modern society. One indisputable fact is that we should give our children reasonable suggestions when they receive education at school.When it comes to the issue that if a child wants to do well in school, shouldparents limit the hours of watching TV programs of movies or not? People’snotions vary from one to another. In my opinion, I definitely agree thatparents should set a limitation on the hours of children watching TV programsor movies.

As an old saying goes well, no pains, no gains. If a child wants to name first in the class, should not he or she exert more efforts than anyone else? With the increasing fierce competition of the job market, everyone needs to keep acquiring new knowledge and makingprogress, especially for young children. Children should try their best to obtain all kinds of knowledge so that they could find a good job in the future.For instance, I hope my child could be a qualified teacher when he grows up.  Therefore, when he is in primary school, I will tell him to work hard so that he can be enrolled by a normal university.TVs and movies are great tempts to children. I still remember that I did notfinish my homework in time because of the attractive cartoon in the TV when  I was a child.  Parents should help children to devote themselves into more studying knowledge instead of TV programs or movies.

On the other hand, some parents may say that all work and no playmakes Jack a dull boy. Frankly, we have to admit that children should spend some watching movies and TV programs in that children also need some time to relax themselves and develop an comprehensive value of the world. It is common that the teacher’s knowledge is limited. It is the movie and TV program that could introduce a lot to children. When I were in middle school, my Chinese teacher used to show us the famous movie Titanic, which help us to relax ourselves and procure a glimpse of American culture. But our children are too young or maturethat we could not control ourselves well to strike a balance between the hoursto study and enjoy entertainment.    At this point, parents should limit the hours of watching movies and TV programs for children.

If we don’t limit the the hoursof watching movies and TV programs for children, what if they become addicted to cartoon and lose the interest in study gradually? If we don’t limit the thehours of watching movies and TV programs for children, what if their eyesightare getting worse because of too much TV programs? If we don’t limit the thehours of watching movies and TV programs for children, what if they could notfind a good job because of poor knowledge and school performance?

Due to all the reasons above, the outcome is obvious.  If a student wants to do well in school , of course, parents should limit the hours of watching TV and movies.
