关于两道句子+Ving形式的题的比较疑问，好人一生平安！！跪求一个清晰的解答

下面两道题是有关 “句子，+Ving”形式的，第一道题错误答案C在OG中的解释是growing的逻辑主语可以是32species或者whales所以不清晰导致错误，但是无独有偶，第二道题里面的正确答案brightening的逻辑主语按第一道题的分析不也是会导致逻辑主语不明确吗？？为什么答案却大相径庭？
求好人帮忙解疑啊，我现在的知识是认为 “句子，+Ving”举行Ving的逻辑主语可以是主句主语或者主句哩的其它名词或者作为伴随状语修饰整句。对吗？

SC的句子都是比出来的
先说 ,which的用法：指代前一句的N（非限定用法），主要是补充资讯

, Ving 伴随状语修饰、可修饰S、V、句子（需要语意判断）

接下来是问题
OG13-SC 67
the 32 species that make up the dolphin family are closely related to whales and in fact include the animal konwn as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and is famous for its aggressive hunting pods.

A比C好的理由除了Ving指代错误之外，being用法这里错误（不是being不能用，是being famous不能明确表达句子想说的意思），再者，后面有看到its，就知道，这里要找一个N（单数），明确知道这里使指的是killer whale不是32 species

按照LZ的问题加上第2题没有附上有疑问的选项，这一题我只能说brightening 明确指示整个句子表示结果、伴随状况不会有模糊的情况发生

LZ的理解没有错，可以请LZ在详细说一下问题吗？
如果只是问语法点，我想这是我所能够做的解释

稍微补充一下，GMAC在平行上面应该会变成can......and is.......的趋势，这其实是很丑的平行...但是"逻辑"上正确，GMAC应该会越来越喜欢用这类句子，还有一种就是不同样子的N形式平行，我一时找不到例子，大家可以注意一下

补充一下楼上的N平行
Concrete Noun自己平行, Action Noun可和Complex Gerunds平行，Simple Gerunds不可和前面任何平行。
