请教各位大N，为啥要用that引导定语从句修饰plans，而非用动名词修饰？看到过赵丽老师关于doing/that题型的总结说that做定语时强调一次性行为，而doing分词作定语强调重复性行为，当时还有一个例句"Local shrimpers said that their compliance with laws requiring that turtle excluder devices on shrimp nets is protecting adults sea turtle."该句中用分词requiring修饰laws，因为是经常性的，那么我想134题用分词修饰plans应该差不多啊，也是经常性的嘛。。。。。那么为什么答案给的是D，用定语从句呢？

这跟句子的理解有直接关系，你不明白说明你没有理解这句话的逻辑意思。

这句话的意思是：在低薪工人中，工会成员相比较于非公会成员较为不会参与对于医疗服务施加了更严格的限制的、要求医生为更多病人看病（导致了医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了）的低档次保险。

A. 我们假设这里用imposing and requiring和that impose and require的意思一样。与and spend并列的是 are less likely to be enrolled in，主语是unionmembers。但从逻辑意义上并不是"unionmembers花在每个病人身上的时间更少了”，而是医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了。
B.把imposing, requiring和spending并列了，结构上是没错的，但是逻辑意思上有问题：并不是lower-end insurance spend less time with each (patient)，而是医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了。
C.错误与B相同：把 impose, require和spend并列，结构上没错，但是逻辑意思上有问题：并不是lower-end insurance spend less time with each (patient)，而是医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了。
D.that引导定语从句修饰lower-end insurance。spending less time with each (patient)作为伴随状语，表结果，伴随doctors to see more patients的see表结果,其逻辑主语是doctors。意思是：医生需要看更多的病人，导致了（医生）花在每个病人身上的时间变少了。D选项正确。
E.that impose stricter limits on medical services作定语修饰lower-end insurance。requiring doctors to see more patients and spending less time with each并列，作为impose的伴随状态表结果，其逻辑主语是lower-end insurance。错误同B和C：结构上也是正确的，但是逻辑意思上有问题：并不是lower-end insurance spend less time with each (patient)，而是医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了。

这道题每个选项都没有语法错误，但是伴随状态表结果的状语的逻辑主语的不同，导致句子的逻辑意思产生颠覆性的差异。关键是要把句子读懂，对于那些不看整句上来直接看选项的人，这道题做不出来。
至于你的疑问：
为啥要用that引导定语从句修饰plans，而非用动名词修饰？
因为：用imposing and requiring的选项A和B逻辑意思都有问题，被排除了。如果用的是imposing stricter limits on medical services and requiring doctors to see more patients, spending less time with each.我觉得还是可以的。但是这样句子看起来很奇怪:尽管意思是正确的，依然容易让人产生imposing, reqiring 和 spending是并列的，但是and放错地方了的错觉。所以用that从句+，spending结构上更容易辨认，更容易让读者理解这句话的逻辑意思，特别是spending的逻辑主语是谁。

谢谢你的耐心解答，看了你的讲解似乎明白了。是不是说A和B项中用分词imposing修饰plans本来没有问题，但是会造成与后面的spending并列的歧义，而spending的逻辑主语应该是doctors，而非plans，因此也就不能跟imposing并列了，而D项后面那里把imposing作为伴随状态，逻辑主语是doctors正好就对了？我理解对你的意思了吗？

回答个题真不容易啊，还要二次理解你的“理解”。。。

你的理解：
是不是说A和B项中用分词imposing修饰plans本来没有问题，但是会造成与后面的spending并列的歧义，而spending的逻辑主语应该是doctors，而非plans，因此也就不能跟imposing并列了。
答：A选项你理解的不对。A选项与and spend并列的是 are less likely to be enrolled in，主语是unionmembers。但从逻辑意义上并不是"unionmembers花在每个病人身上的时间更少了”，而是医生花在每个病人身上的时间更少了。
B选项你说的对。

而D项后面那里把imposing作为伴随状态，逻辑主语是doctors正好就对了？我理解对你的意思了吗？
答：而D项后面那里把spending作为伴随状态，逻辑主语是doctors。这个看起来是typo error。

不需要再rephase我的解释了，不然我还要三次理解你的“理解”。明白了就好。
