我已经把C选项放进去了三个部分都有完整的主谓结构 enabing在句尾做临近句子的伴随即伴随makes
为什么C选项不对?

LS 同学。C不对，逗号后的现在分词结构做状语，直接修饰Scientists have recently discovered that，这是严重不符合句意的。

句子是要让enables做the ultrathin 直接动词。

为什么它修饰的是主句?

【關於also】

Also是adverb，表示“另外“。
個人認為不用糾結它具體用法是什麽，只要確定它的詞性，並且知道它的意思，什麼時候用also就根據句子的意思以及also的修飾對象來定。
例如上例的意思為，U物質可以使蝴蝶shimmer，也可以使昆蟲controlXX。根據句意，存在一個“也”的意思，所以可以用also（副詞）來修飾第二個動作的動詞：）把also看做是一個普通的副詞就可了。

根據句子的意思，ultrathin既可以使得蝴蝶shimmer，也可以使昆蟲XX。
注意，這裡使這兩個動作發生的ultrathin是同一種物質，都是蝴蝶翅膀上面的layered construction。

對於指代同一個事物要用，the same that；指代同一類物質，但是不是同一個的話，用the same as。例：
This is the same bag as I lost yesterday.这个书包和我昨天丢失的相似。【相似的書包】

This is the same bag that I lost yesterday.这正是我昨天丢失的书包。【就是那個書包】

注意C項the same as the one與D項the same that的區別。

是应该修饰紧邻的句子，不过这里无论是修饰紧邻的动词、还是修饰主句都说不通吧。。。不可能把enabling作为伴随动作或者伴随状态的，之间没有主从联系啊。。。
