原句问题明显没什么说的，B中that把句子想表达的hypothesis的内容变成了 different mental functions。

我想问问如果把B中的that去掉（相当于把C中的that换成of），这样可以吗？

不能把整个括号是这个hypo的内容吗？

这个语法上没问题但是你不觉得别扭吗？而且还有there being 这种奇怪的用法 gmat语法点有一个 there be 句型很少用到
