自己解:

ABCD的when引导的状语从句有错误,是修饰主句的.所以要修饰mice只能用that从句.

这道题我的分析思路：

1#同意楼上的，时间状语从句的逻辑主语指向句子的主语，但是这里的when引导的从句的主语很明显不能是the production of new brain cells

2# 句子中 the production of new brain cells, include.... ; include 后面的内容应该是the production of new brain cells 的一种，从意思上分析肯定不能是 A B C 中的 the brain / mice / mice's brains.

3# 结合1# & 2# ，答案只能是 E 。 但是E 也有些瑕疵：

    A. an increase in neurons in canaries that learn new songs. 这里面的that 要指向谁，从意思分析只能是neurons，也就是这里有一个 that 从句的跳跃修饰问题。通常这类跳跃修饰 GMAT 会用 从句的谓语动词单复数 （ learn) 来消除歧义，但是这里 canaries / neurons 都是复数名词，无法削除歧义。
