The herbicide Oryzalin was still being produced in 1979, three years after the wives of workers producing the chemical in Rensselaer, New York, were found to have borne children with heart defects or miscarriages, and none of their pregnancies was normal.

先回答楼上的问题，were found应该是修饰wives，没有问题

miscarriages有修饰children的嫌疑
(B) to have had children born with heart defects or miscarriages, and none of the pregnancies was

(C) either to have had children with heart defects or miscarriages, without any of their pregnancies being
不平行
(D) either to have had miscarriages or to have borne children with heart defects; none of the pregnancies was
还可以

E 怎么个平行能细说一下么....? 不能使 miscarriages 和 children 平行么？

请问一下这个句子 Oryzalin was， wives were 不是两套主谓用逗号连接吗还是three years是修饰1979的？

either or和not but是一样的，都是后面的部分要平行。我举个例子来说：either to do，那么or后面也要加to do的形式；not but也是一样：not produced by，but produced by；produced not by，but by

CE想要并列平行，可以改成：to have children with either defects or miscarriages；不然一定要写成either to have had children with A，or to have borne children with B

我认为这里是名词加介词after的独立主格，
n＋介词可以做独立主格，比如The soldiers dashed in, rifle in hand. 士兵们端着枪冲了进来。
anyway，这也只是个人的看法，开始还没有注意这个问题。
