跪求大神给解释一下 manhattan 代词部分有这样一句话:
On the GMAT, do not use this or these in place of nouns. A sentence such as “This is great” is unacceptably vague to the GMAT. Also, do not use that or those in place of nouns, unless you modify that or those to make them New Copies. Instead, use it, they, or them.
接下来给了两个例句:
Wrong: Her products are unusual; many consider THESE unique.
Right: Her products are unusual; many consider THEM unique.
我不明白的是如果这里不能用these或者this的话,那什么时候代指名词才能用this或that呢?前面那句话提到的modify that or those to make them New Copies是不是意思说只有在平行比较时,才能用that和those代指?例如:Her company is outperforming THAT OF her competitor.
