求助！关于GWD T-3-Q38的分词修饰问题！

Right answer

我翻了以前的讨论帖 AlienXnn说D中的using是修饰decide的。从逻辑上来说确实是！
但是我做题的时候排除了D 因为我认为using应修饰主句的主语或者从句的主语我认为有歧义讲不通
我的问题是：1，从句中的分词是修饰从句中的主语还是主语的主语呢？
2，怎么判断using修饰什么尤其像本题竟然修饰decide

从句的分词短语的逻辑主语是executives，normative model是不能decide a strategy的。
其实这个分词短语就相当于分词短语在句首做状语。and前后都是that宾语从句的两个独立句子。

1，在判断using修饰什么时只要找出其逻辑主语跳出本题在从句中出现的ving有没有逻辑主语是主句主语的可能呢？
2，如果介个using相当于在句首做状语那么其逻辑主语可以定位到主语的主语嘛？

你要判断好句子的层次问题，如果分词短语属于从句层次，那么逻辑主语只能是从句的主语，当然从句的主语也有可能和主句主语相同。问题2其实和1的答案差不多。

如果把修饰成分去掉，句子应该是 suggests that executives examine a firm’s external environment and internal conditions and decide a strategy. 这里 examine 和decide 都是 executives 的谓语，而且用的是虚拟语气。
using the set of objective criteria derived from these analyses 是分词形式的独立主格，用来修饰executives的。还原句子 executives examine .... and, (using the set of objective criteria derived from these analyses,) decide a strategy

我觉得你把逻辑主语和修饰对象搞混了
using the set...这个动名词结构的功能相当于副词，修饰的是动词decide
然后因为decide和examine平行的主语是executives，所以using的逻辑主语只能是executives

我是根据using的位置来理解的，因为它本来就在从句里面，而且还放在了从句中并列谓语decide的前面，用两个逗号隔开，相当于是插入语的成分。如果它要是出现在句首的话，有可能就是修饰主句的谓语动词了。
