对于第一题，now可以这么放哦！因为now做adv修饰temperate！第二个题破折号应该是进一步解释说明？（应该是）和冒号功能很像，貌似冒号只能解释就近的名词神马的，而破折号不必。as 后面应该加clause，like+n.；至于举例说明such as！！hope helps

第一题可以把temperate areas当做一个名词“温带地区”，用now来修饰，说明现在是温带地区
第二题，破折号“解释说明”，说明expert的作用像计算机，能够诊断设备故障和决定是否批准贷款！

破折号的用法：1 解释说明（类似于插入语）2 表示转折、反讽等文章态度的转变。
