想问一下more than的用法
刚查了一下DUKB的千行excel上面对more than的解释如下
The words more and less are rather flexible.They can be used us nouns（or pronouns），adjectives，or adverbs.
Right：I own MORE THAN I should（noun or pronoun）
Right：I own MORE SHIRTS THAN Ishould.（adjective）
Right：I sleep MORE THAN I should.（adverb）
把E选项拿出来分析看看歧义在哪里：
refiners pay about $5 a barrel for crude oil more than they did.
当more做形容词时：
crude oil （more than）they did：他们去年支付的油钱比5美元还要少
当more 做副词时：
crude oil （more）than they did：比去年支付的油钱多付了5美元（intended meaning）

我想问的是
当more做形容词时：
crude oil （more than）they did：他们去年支付的油钱比5美元还要少。
这里的more than 修饰的是$5 a barrel么？
这句话的翻译怎么感觉很奇怪呢？

修饰more...than结构的可以是far,even,many,a lot,three times等，也可以是有表示度量概念的名词词组表示，如Peter is two inches taller than John~

亲。。。。。。我记得manhattan里讲过N times只有和as...as...来标示多倍数的表达，而N times +more than这种比较级是错误的，要不咱再查查？？？

MGMAT在講multiplication的時候提到，n + times adjective-比較級 + than : 表示n+1倍^^

这个问题很纠结，LZ不放把more当做一般的形容词使用，不要随便改变形容词或者副词的位置，该修饰谁就修饰谁。。。

N times +more than结构，虽然Manhattan说它是错的，但是Prep和GWD里面有时候会作为正确答案使用，所以还是不要把这个作为优先标准了。

我找老师问了也说是可以用，但是manhattan上倒是确实写了不行，而且manhattan还举例了:说verbal有道正确答案的写法是：....."5 times greater than".....的用法实际上是错误的,in general,this usage should be avoided=======

我看还是不要当做绝对错误删除选项就得了，如果原文是N times AS...as...，那下面的选项不要变成N times more than就可以了......
