解释D说不是food 的rate，题目里已经出现了the rate of fatty foods consumed，意思应该也是consuming foods的rate，不是吗？

In fact, if you pay attention to the words "death rates" in the stimulus, you already know the right choice of words in either D or E - rates!

人家的意思是，原句如果不省略，就是the rate of...in France and the rate of...in US are about the same。但是原句省略了，所以应该是the rates of ... in France and US are about the same. 所以D,E两个选项用了rate，明显是错的
