直接附上题目，我分别按着CD上大牛总结的和Ron神总结的comma+ving的方法分析如下题目，都与之总结的相违背，，。那comma+ving到底怎么写啊，，，我要疯了。。。。

一、CD上大牛总结的部分节选：V-ing的作用大体分为两种，充当名词修饰语和充当句子的状语。充当名词修饰语时，修饰主句主语，主语谓语为Be，V-ing的逻辑主语是句子主语。而不用看是否是伴随啊还是结果关系。
然后我按大牛的方法做第一题的：逗号前面的句子是主系表结构的句子，那么outnumbering是直接修饰letters，成立，那A不是对了么？为什么还选E
按大牛方法做第二题：逗号前面句子是主系表结构的句子，那么shields were military equipment, protecting能够修饰shields，那么成立，然后这个选项就对，也正好是正确答案。
Q1为什么用一种方法分析两道题，答案得出来的却不一样？
二、Ron神总结：comma+participlethis sort of modifier should actually satisfy TWO requirements:
1) it should apply most nearly to the subject of the preceding clause (as you've said); and, even more importantly,
2) it should have one of the following RELATIONSHIPS to that clause:
* immediate consequence * simultaneous, but lower-priority, action 我按Ron神总结的来写第一题：因为Ron神是把逗号前面的句子的谓语动词分类的，所以说动词无论是系动词还是action verb，都应该遵守它总结的法则。那么Ron神分析如下（我在曼哈顿论坛找的）：letters were written, outnumbering...虽然outnumbering是修饰letters了，但是不具备伴随关系和结果关系，所以错。
那第二题我试着按Ron神分析的做：shields were military equipment, protecting直接修饰shields，但是之间也不具备伴随和结果关系啊，为什么在这里就对了？？？？
到底怎么回事啊。。。求NN啊，折磨我好几天了已经，，，真是心力憔悴啊！！！！！ |
