(E) as to hamperthe ability of some children for distinguishing discrete sounds and words,resulting in being unable to make大家新年好！正确答案是B，没有问题。搜了大家的老帖，还是想麻烦大家一下，D选项，and results in not making, 顺着这个选项的语法分析，它的主语应该是A new study对吗？能不能说D选项让完全没有关系的a new study suggest and ( a new study) results平行了。尽管逻辑上有人认为and results in 的主语是 it hampers的it或pace of everyday life, 但是这都是我们顺着句意补充的主语。另外，og上说D错是因为D意为：pace of speech results in not making sense of speech,于是我更错乱了,pace of speech???

两个idioms加平行结构，做很仔细语法分析太浪费时间， "so…that" 和"ability… to” 和平行句式

conversational pace 和 speech pace 是在一起的，是语速的意思不是 pace of everyday life

就是因为D中的表的方式会造成主语混淆，所以不能选。

只是还是想问一下大家，抛开意思不说，D选项results in not making默认的语法上的主语是谁呀？感谢！！！

有道理，a new study suggest that 接that从句和（a new study） results in not doing结构上不平行。再次感谢！此题不纠结了
