为什么选B? SUBJECT不应该是RISING或者A RISE么？那为什么答案说的MAKE不是MAKES啊？(答案貌似把rates看成SUBJECT?）

subject应该是rates吧，因为是rates让buying on credit more expensive的，这里rising是修饰rates
BTW 其他几个选项错误很明显所以肯定是B了

确实纠结了很久啊~ 觉得（Raising interest rates）才做主语所以直接把A排除了啊。。求赐教！

对啊，我也觉得分词短语 RISING INTEREST RATES 才是主语。那就应该当做第三人称单数来用。那个RISING 是现在分词还是形容词？

1.从logic语义角度出发：rising interest rates与前面的again遥相呼应。因为有again的存在，说明不是一次利率上涨a rise in interest rates，因此可以排除C,D,E

2.rising interest rates，rising就是adj修饰成分，主语是interest rates复数，而a rise in interest rate主语是a rise单数；其实这么一交换也同是改变了原文的logic主语和句意

rise 是不及物动词，所以这里不可能表示动名词来做句子的主语，raise才是能直接加interest rates 的

查词典了~rise确实可以作为及物动词~语法上应该没有问题吧（？）~我个人的理解是问题出在逻辑上~如果把interest rates作为主语确实比rising interest rates作为主语在逻辑上理解起来更通顺些~因为毕竟本质上是升高的利率造成了这个后果~而不是提高的这个行为~然后结合后面them指代的问题所以只能选B了~
