1)Bihar is India’s poorest state, with an annual per capita income of $111, lower than in the most impoverished countries of the world.(A) lower than in (B) lower than that of (C) and lower than that of (D) which is lower than in (E) which is lower than it is in
2)Although Napoleon’s army entered Russia with far more supplies than they had in their previous campaigns, it had provisions for only twenty-four days. (A) they had in their previous campaigns (B) their previous campaigns had had (C) they had for any previous campaign (D) in their previous campaigns (E) for any previous campaign 这两道题先看第二题,正确选项E中: 全面没有与for any previous campaign对应的介词结构,这样不是不平行吗? 老帖子上有人说这里省略了those(指代supplies),但可以省略吗?如果可以省略,第一题的A选项也可以选了吧?

第二题补全:Although Napoleon’s army entered Russia with far more supplies (for this campaign) than (supplies) for any previous campaign,是“宾语+介词”的混合结构的比较,只要是前后相同的成分和功能,只要不引起逻辑歧义,都可省略。。。

Soaring television costs accounted for more than half the spending in the presidential campaign of 1992, a greater proportion than it was in any previous election.
A.a greater proportion than it was
B.a greater proportion than
C.a greater proportion than they have been
D.which is greater than was so
E. which is greater than it has been
这道题有人在mahattan问ron:Soaring television costs accounted for X in 1992, a greater proportion than (the proportion) in any previous election中the proportion是不是不可以省的时候,ron回答是: in comparisons, you shouldn't worry about "what has been eliminated" -- you should just look at the stuff in the second half of the comparison, and check whether (a) it makes sense and (b) it's actually parallel to something in the first half of the comparison. it's very important not to overcomplicate the issue. if you have parallelism (and lack of ambiguity), then, generally, you're good to go. if not, then not.
那么在1)的A选项和上面这句话几乎就是一样的啊:B has an annual per capita income of 4$111,lower than (that) in the most impoverished countries of the world.
I have more bananas than you do(do省略就出问题了,因为省略后你的脑子会认为bananas比you多,为了避免这样的误解,补出do,代替have)./I have more bananas than apples.不同的意思直接对应了不同的表达;当做表语时,实际是在比主语,这时比较结构都是紧邻be动词出现的,比如:He is more likely than her to lie.而不是He is more likely to lie than her./He is likely to lie more than her.
