There is a public controversy nowadays over the issue of whether or not it is worthwhile for students to study in another country. As far as I am concerned, I strongly support that students pursue their diplomas or degrees abroad. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my point of view.
To begin with, studying abroad helps students learn advanced knowledge, improve different skills and therefore acquire competitive competencies. Modern education analysis contends that students studying abroad will benefit from the different cultures, the way people think and the like, so that they are easy to stand out from others. Facts witness many examples. For instance, the CEOs of top 10 IT companies in China admitted that their competitive advantages came from their broadened field of vision during their overseas studies.
Next, having more opportunities is another paramount important reason. The gap between countries is a threaten to those young men, but also create a lot of opportunities. Therefore, many students study in the destined country first, and then try to explore some fields new to the country but familiar to their hometown. Hence, by playing the role of international bridges, they get more opportunities than others.
However, dissenters may deem that the students studying abroad will suffer from loneness, cultural impacts and countless uncertainties. Obviously, they fail to realize that most of these obstacles will be overcome. In fact, it is these unusual experiences that inspire the potential abilities of the students. Therefore, more and more people favor studing abroad.
To sum up, it is safe to arrive the conclusion that studying abroad will benefit these students in long term. In fact, not only more and more students are trying to study abroad, but also more and more countries are taking effective policies to encourage these behaviors.
