GWD-24-28.
Unlike most severance packages, which require workers to stay until the last day scheduled to collect, workers at the automobile company are eligible for its severance package even if they find a new job before they are terminated.

看到解释说因为E中的they没有指代，难道D中的their就有明确的指代吗？
我觉得D中in order to 很别扭啊。。。。
还有木有更好得到解释？

不能解释,20号考的帮你up一下.
只是感觉e变成了从句很奇怪,这样的话就变成了they指代人,工人被scheduled，和原句意思不符。

in order to is used to show some purpose，here it is legally used

the pronoun ambiguity is not an issue here

E： the last day that they are scheduled to collect

it seems that they are scheduled to collect the last day ，that is absolutely illogical

the problem does not show up in D。so D is better

我也是来查这道题的我个人觉得选项E the last day that they are scheduled to collect , "they" 似乎指代 s packages更合理些 s package are shceduled to collect。而D选项， their last scheduled day. their 应该指代workers. the workers' last scheduled day 与原文意境更符合些
