其中有一个错误选项是：as melting ice cubes that do not cause a glass of water to overflow.
不明白的地方是碰到好多题目都是原句是从句而正确选项就把这个that省略掉了,记得在宾语从句中that确实是可以省略的但是不省略应该不能归为是错误的一类呀？？不明白为什么就省略掉了。下一个题目也遇到了相同的问题：
The first trenches that were cut into a 500-acre site at Tell Hamoukar,Syria,have yielded strong evidence for centrally administrated  complex societies in northern region of the Middle East that were arising simultaneously with but independently of the more celebrated city-states fo southern Mesopotamia, in what is now southern Iraq.
正确选项为：cut into a 500-acre site at Tell Hamoukar,Syria,have yielded strong evidence that centrally administrated  complex societies in northern region of the Middle East arose simultaneously with but
有一个错误选项就为：that were cut into a 500-acre site at Tell Hamoukar,Syria,yields strong evidence that centrally administrated  complex societies in northern region of the Middle East were arising simultaneously with but also

1：as melting ice cubes that.....没有谓语所以错，这个结构是just as+句子，as+句子

2：主干是the first trenches have yielded.....，cut into....修饰the first trenches，分词做定语如果不产生歧义要比从句好，简洁。刚发现谓语用的是单数，所以更错啦

楼主放过真正的错误，确把注意力集中在不该集中的地方，一个选项当然不可能省了that就正确，不省就错误，那有这样的道理？
其实gmat上绝少一部分题（尽管不敢断言绝对没有）会因为正确的选项比错误的选项表达的好一点。所以肯定错误选项会有错误。

1.       下面三种形式没区别，后2者强调语气，不能随便替换掉SO. 3种前后都要是完整的句子。
（a）       Just as…., so…… Just as you sow, so you will reap. 主从尽量形式对称
（b）       Just as…, as……..Just as you sow, as you will reap.主从尽量对称
（c）       Just as……, so too…主句（so too后）部分倒装。Just as you sow, so too will you reap
所以，第一题的问题不在于省略了that，而是必须省略。“二楼”说得很好，没有谓语
2. GMAT中经常出现的考点：在主语和谓语之间插入一些成分，比如介词短语，同位语，定语从句等。特别要注意单复数一致的问题，有的时候错误选项还可能会添加一个多余的主语。
3. manhattan中有提到，三个原则：grammar, logic, and concision. 其中，当前两者都没有问题的时候，最后再使用concision。所以不要把“是否简洁”当做最主要的判断依据！

LS几位眼光很敏锐。
的确，1题错误不在分词与从句的互换，而是在于just as....,so.....前后必须都是完整的句子，这是比较状语从句的一种。

2题，错误项主要是谓语动词与主语不一致，另外，最后的but also使用也不当。
