[原创]11月11日Simon面试的体会

俺11日9点赶到广州中国大酒店，参加了simon的面试，这也是俺的第一次面试。大致过程如下：

简单地寒喧了两句，马上进入正题。首先她说，由于后面还有好些人等着面试，因此时间很紧凑，每人只有半小时的时间。

问题一：谈谈工作经历中最重要的几个方面和收获

问题二：为什么是现在申请MBA

问题三：为什么选择simon

问题四：谈谈对teamwork的认识，并举例说明

问题五：谈谈international experience，以及今后在美国如何应对international enviroment.

最后是提问时间。

个人体会：

1、由于面试地点就在酒店大堂，而且面试官是一位非常友善的中年女士，因此气氛很好，无压迫感，俺一点都不紧张。

2、如果可能，尽可能排在前面面试。俺估计是第一个面试，对方的精神很好。如何之前她已面试了好几个人，等到俺的时候，估计她的精神和情绪肯定不会和开始一样好了。

3、不要太担心自己的口语。俺的口语也很烂，但俺想，只要把话一个字一个字地说清楚，对方肯定能听懂。俺在交流中，很多话都是临时组织的，但俺的语速较慢，尽量说清楚，并没有追求所谓的流利和地道。在整个过程中，面试官没有说一个“excuse me",这表明她基本理解俺的意思。

4、尽量用具体的例子表达你的思想。俺用很细节的例子表明了俺的目标，对teamwork,对international experience以及工作中独到的体会，对此她表示很赞赏。

5、由于时间很紧，俺感觉很多话题说得并不充分。以致于俺问了三个问题后，她就表示时间到了。但这时俺表示还有好几个问题很想问，于是她又回答了一个问题。俺想，当她发现俺非常想了解学校具体信息时，应该很高兴吧。

6、尽可能表示自己对面试的渴望和重视。当俺告诉她俺是早上六点起床，驾车2个小时赶来，并且俺的妻子为了support俺，也陪俺来广州时，面试官表示很欣赏。

在此顺便提一下当晚的MBA TOUR, 现场气氛一般般，倒是很多欧洲学校在卖力宣传。俺转了一个多小时后，已经感觉很累了，何况还要开2小时的车回深圳，于是俺7点就走了。

I also did Simon interview in GZ, right behind a gentleman in suit and tie..:-)

I did well in job briefing, why now MBA, what concentrations, why Simon for me.....I didn't study too much on Simon's academic aspects, so I don't think I quite convinece the lady on "what do you think about Simon's academic aspects". Also she asked "what will be the most challenge if you study in Simon" and "what role do you think you will play in a Simon team".... there is no surprising quesitons. The lady seems to be very interested in my international exposure and my topics on Simon's leadership program.

The lady is a management communication professor. So just do well in the interaction between you and her; be responsive, positive, convincing....

To the buddy from Shenzhen, II was also from Shenzhen. I also asked 3 questions since I didn't prepare too many questions; but I think that 3 will be enough. I was late that morning since I didn't wake up on time. I just called her when I was on the train and the lady was kind enough to reschedule my interview and she understood how hard it was to have the commuting train trip that early.
