B為 句子 + in which+句子

D為同位語 後面that加完整子句

那請問一下要怎麼分辨要用哪一個呢?

用B  出现两个完整句要求加带prep的连接词时，首选in that（表原因）次选 prep+which

A condenser is a heat exchanger _________ steam or vapor loses heat and returns to liquid form.
假如用that理解成同位语也可以带完整句，但是同位语与主词之间是解释关系.

比如：John, a teacher, ..... 这里a teacher是解释主语John的身份的。这里的a teacher=John

但是上面这道题里面主语是a condenser 它与steam or vapor loses heat and returns to liquid form 这一系列动作不可能是相等的。所以D不对，只能选B

in which. 这一系列动作在condenser里面发生。
