我觉得指代不清，是因为从逻辑意思上来说，IT指代 improved efficiency是否使得主句的逻辑意思错误。我觉得主句的主语（即IT指代对象）应该是onverting harvested trees into wood products may reduce harvest rates。否则逻辑不通。

(2)converting harvested trees into wood products  will stimulate demand by increasing supply and lowering prices 那个更符合逻辑呢？请NN们发表高见。糊涂中.......
