[求助]May we contact your employer 这种问题怎么回答

我的问题在于， 我工作的部门在我工作一段时间后经过内部改组合并， 并入了其集团的姐妹公司门下。

如果contact， 根本没有我们这个部门了，怎么给电话呀？ 但是如果我写no, 学校是否会怀疑我有问题？sigh, 本来没问题的。

这种问contact employer 是全部留经理电话？  那经理没变， 不是两个留的都一样了？

I think more than likely, the school just wants to verify that you are actually employed at the company you stated. I would just give the phone number/contact information of the HR department if your record is there. I wouldn't worry too much about what happened to your previous employer. After all, it's not your problem For formality reason, explain the situation and you should be OK.

If you haven't informed your current employer (namely your current supervisor) that you're planning for MBA, I think you should avoid giving his/her info to avoid future repercussion. Schools will understand that sometimes it's not possible to get recommendation from current supervisor.
