一道issue题没有思路，求指点！

题目是："In order for any work of art—for example, a film, a novel, a poem, or a song—to have merit, it must be understandable to most people."

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

一部艺术品要有价值，一定要被大多数人理解
这个肯定是个辩证的问题了。首先艺术本身不是单一的，而是多元化的，有些能够被大多数人理解，有些不能。比如京剧或者诗歌，现在能听懂读懂的人很少了，但不影响它的艺术价值。而像好莱坞的电影，有些很知名的也有很高的价值。
其次，艺术的价值评判便准不是唯一的，不能仅仅以观众知名度来评价，而应该有自身的评价体系。
再次，很多所谓的艺术作品，的确被很多人所熟知，但不具有艺术上的价值，如果仅仅以这一条为标准评价艺术作品的价值，会导致艺术家创作迎合大众的一些庸俗或者低俗的品味，而失去自身创造价值
