1)taking advantage of off-season demand modifies to sell, it is a result of selling the shellfish year-round. (this is a common trick in the GMAT). Look out if you cannot, initially, identify parallel relationships. Chances are ETS inserted stuff to modify sentences. Here to sell and to predict are parallel, i.e. modifiers like "taking advantage...., buying...,&stuff that indicates result of an action." should not be counted in evaluating a parallel construction problem.
