C为什么不对，分词不是更简洁吗？因为这里应该不是经常性的动作吧？

第一题：E的fully修饰对象模糊；

第二题：动作是特指，而且who was可以被省略。

who was a Kiowa matriarch in her home, here also is ambiguous in meaning, you can think of it as there is a Kiowa matriarch whose name is Aho, is now staying in her(another girl) home. Thus, distort the original meaning of the sentence. Eliminate it.

in her home应该修饰held festival，但在C中，修饰matriarch。

was用的也不好，was means “is not”，在表明身份时要尽量避免。即使是在叙述过去发生的事，因为可能此人现在还活着，还is该身份。

我有疑问: 885 sec c 7: 选项D 1.为什么用the data, 前面没有提及, 后面又无定义, 为什么用the来特指? 2. to classify 总觉着有歧义, 是修饰ways做定语, 还是修饰considering做其目的状语?

大家都知道的东西可以用the 定冠词的另两处用法1特指 2 以前提到的

2. to classify 总觉着有歧义, 是修饰ways做定语, 还是修饰considering做其目的状语?

现在基本想通了, 感觉选项D本应是to classify the data in the early sociological study .由于前面已有in the early sociological study ,所以选项中就省略了.

关于第二点, 还是想不太通, 但估计是中国人思维和老外不同, 所以准备强行接受了)
